Our latest mixtape has been created for Friedmylittlebrain.com, a blog we have read and respected for a long time and one that we are very happy to make an exclusive mix for.
The mix represents a typical Knob Jockeys live set – a mix of styles, mashups, old favourites and new tunes. It also includes a few of our own remixes, including our brand new reworking of JOKR’s Snaggletooth, forthcoming on Kiss My Bass Records.
We’ve been playing out at some wicked parties in the last couple of months, and party sets are often quite a mash of big new tunes and plenty of classics. All the while though, we’ve been compiling a stack of those new tunes that are really doing it for us right now, for our next minimix. Trouble is by, the time we finished it wasn’t so mini at all, but hey, isn’t this time of year all about EXCESS?!
So here it is, a big fat mix for big fat December, with love from the Knob Jockeys
We often find that our mixes take a long time to release as they can get pretty complex and we’re pretty picky when it comes to how it’s put together.
So we decided to also start doing some more simple minimixes of the latest tunes that we’re buzzing about. No clever mixes, no acapellas and no mashups – just top tunes for 40 minutes.
The summer’s turning into a wash-out, but here’s our new mix to brighten it up! At 1 hour and 9 minutes, it’s a sort of cross between two sets we’ve played recently at Beat Herder and Carry On, with a few extra nuggets thrown in for good measure!

Here’s the set we played at the recent Easter event in Manchester – a mix of breaks and electro/fidget house and some usual pop silliness. It also includes a version of one of our own tunes – Dirty Slap.
We tried to not include a Fake Blood tune again, but he slipped in again! Jack Beats features twice – another artist we’re really digging at the minute!

This is the remastered version of our end of the night set at the Carry On! NYE Party 2009. We played after Vandal to the end of the night, and it was a wicked party. Hopefully this will bring back some memories if you were there, or whet your appetites for next time if you weren’t!

This is a remastered version of a nice bouncy set we played at Bandwidth in Manchester. Takes in everything from funk and disco to electro house and breaks!
